Kim is educated in law to masters level from Edinburgh and Glasgow universities.

She worked most of her career as a practising solicitor, both in private practice and for an environmental regulator, where she gained valuable experience working on new legislation for pollution control. She subsequently moved into operational and strategic management. Kim has held two public appointments and supported many charities, as well as being a qualified commercial mediator.

Kim currently works in the Glasgow head office of the SEC Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway where she manages operations there and supports 54 independent charities across the Diocese.

Kim has been married for 33 years and has 3 grown up children. In her spare time she follows Formula 1 and enjoys combining holidays with race weekends.
