Full statement
The vote on the 4th July is crucial in deciding on the future of this country for us all. The Green Party are offering Real Change. *A wealth tax of 1% on those earning more than 10 million pounds, and 2% on billionaires will generate an extra 10 billion pounds each year. * This will bring an end to austerity measures, properly fund and staff the NHS so that you can see a GP or dentist when you need one, reduce NHS waiting times and ultimately improve the nation's ailing health. * We need to tackle the cost of living crisis with a universal basic income, in order that poverty and homelessness is reduced, people can stop using food banks, heat their newley insulated homes ( another Green policy ) and not fall into debt. *We will also improve public transport by nationalising bus services and railways to improve efficiency and lower fares. We've been told for years thers no money for any of the above, while at the same time millions has been wasted on useless PPE and Govt vanity projects like Boris' water cannon... You have an opportunity to vote for an MP with a background in the NHS and education and Adult Mental Health. An MP who wants the country to take back control of our water companies, railways buses and post office. An MP who wants our crumbling schools and hospitals rebuilt, potholes mended, bins emptied, buses to arrive on time, people paid a decent wage and for life to be enjoyable. This isn't utopia...this is how we all should be living...this is baseline and this is achievable if you vote for an MP who wants the same as you, a comfortable, peaceful and healthy life. I hope to see you on the doorstep or at the polling station.
