I am standing as an independent candidate to offer a genuine, people-focused alternative for our town. Through my daily work in libraries and my ongoing efforts as an active trade unionist, I have seen first-hand how vital robust, accessible public services are to our collective well-being.

I firmly believe in a society that puts people before profit - one where the resources generated by our community are reinvested directly into uplifting every resident, ensuring no one is left behind.

Beyond our local economy, my vision for East Kilbride and Scotland is fundamentally rooted in sustainability and peace. As a dedicated environmentalist, I will fight for policies that protect our future, and I will always advocate for compassion, dialogue, and cooperation over division.

As an Independent MSP, I would:

• Promote investment in public services. Robust public services are the foundation of a fair society, ensuring community well-being and collective support, and must always come before private profit.
• Protect workers' rights. Championing workers' rights and trade unions ensures fair pay and safe conditions, empowering working people and keeping wealth within our local East Kilbride community.
• Support independence. Independence gives Scotland the democratic power to protect public services, control our own resources, and build a peaceful, sustainable society on our own terms.
