Statement to voters

I grew up in a deprived rural area, and entered politics to fight for a real alternative to the Tories' national decline - with shops closing, more families struggling, and healthcare services crumbling.

Full statement

Whether living in the most rural parts of North West Cambridgeshire, or in our towns, or in the southern half of Peterborough - people of all ages across our constituency are witnessing a continual decline in public services. GP appointments are impossible to access, local bus services continue to be cut, and there is a desperate lack of affordable housing across our area -- from Ramsey to Wittering and everywhere in between.

Only a Labour government can deliver the change that North West Cambridgeshire needs. I will stand up for our communities, and I am delighted to advocate for a Labour government to restore hope and opportunity across our area.

My background is in biomedical research, and I strongly believe that we need more scientists in Parliament - as well as more young people with real-world experience of the issues that our country is grappling with. I also have experience as a district councillor, where I am working to protect and enhance local government services despite the precarious financial circumstances the government has left councils in across Britain. I'm an experienced representative with a record of delivery, and I hope to gain the trust of North West Cambridgeshire's residents to deliver real change for our communities.
