Statement to voters
Phil aged 29 is local to Torfaen having been brought up in and still residing in the Oakfield area of Cwmbran.

He attended the old Oakfield Primary School and Llantarnam Comprehensive School before going on study for degrees in Psychology and a Masters in International Politics from Aberystwyth University. Since completing his studies he has returned to live and work in Cwmbran and is an active member in several local community groups in Torfaen. Phil is passionate about getting young people engaged with politics and is currently serving as the Deputy Leader of Wales Green Party. On being selected Phil Said " Its an honour to be the Green party Candidate for my home ward. Torfaen is an area that is often taken for granted or ignored by the Labour and Conservative Parties. I promise to stand up for the people of Torfaen and offer a positive Green alternative to the business as usual politics that doesn't work for areas like ours. "
