Full statement
It pits struggling people against each other while those with the most hoard wealth and power. In Hatch Warren and Beggarwood I will:
• Bring my INDEPENDENT voice to issues of environmental protection, land development and infrastructure; • PROTECT Old Down and our green spaces for future generations; • Hold the new Beggarwood Surgery provider to ACCOUNT; • LISTEN to residents, WORK tirelessly for them and FIGHT for their community without fear or favour.
WE are a fresh, collaborative force in British politics uniting people of all backgrounds to fight for equality, so that everyone benefits. WE fight for:
- Equality in Politics and Business - Equal Pay - Equality in Education - Equal Parenting and Caregiving - Equal Media Treatment - Equality in Healthcare - Ending Violence Against Women & Girls
Why WE?
• WE bring an equality lens to every facet of local government: representing everyone regardless of their wealth, gender, race, sexuality or class; • An independent voice: no donors, unions, party structures or traditions getting in the way of scrutiny and action; • A truly collaborative approach, taking the tribalism and power games out of politics.
I will be a strong voice on the Council for the people of Hatch Warren & Beggarwood because I will answer to them alone.
