I have recently retired as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor having worked as a QS for over 20 years. Working as well as being a mother of three children, I am aware of the pressures that this can bring.

As a Labour and Co-operative councillor, I represented residents of Elmdon on Solihull Council for 12 years but narrowly lost the seat due to boundary changes to the Ward in 2002.

Elected as a Solihull Councillor in 1990 I served on Solihull Council’s Education Committee and Housing Committee. I was Chair of Education for three years when Labour had minority control of Solihull Council.

I became involved in education when first elected as a parent governor and spent many years as a governor for local schools.

I’m standing in Lyndon as the Labour & Co-operative candidate because I believe in active representation working with residents to deliver the best environment for our area. Two of my main interests are education and housing.
