Statement to voters
I believe that change has to start locally.
Full statement
I’m standing as a candidate for the Green Party to give the people of North Tyneside the opportunity to elect a councillor who will seek to improve public transport, make homes more affordable and energy efficient, promote access to employment and education, and improve people’s wellbeing.
I have belonged to the Green Party and other environmental groups for over 40 years. I’ve been living in North Tyneside since 2010 and I am keen to preserve the natural beauty of our parks and coastline.
The time is long overdue to elect a government and councillors who place the climate emergency at the centre of their policies.
