An assistant head teacher at a local primary school, Phil has lived with his wife in Elmbridge since 2011, first in Cobham and, since 2017, in Molesey.

He has a particular passion for Computing and Science, and leads the subject and curriculum development across the school.

As a keen runner, he is worried by the declining quality and safety of our pavements and footpaths and the impact this is having on people with disabilities and those with mobility scooters who struggle to get to the shops safely. The protection of Elmbridge’s green areas, under threat from development, is also an issue which is close to his heart. If elected, he will work with Liberal Democrat Council colleagues to fight the Conservative government’s plans for ever more intensive development in our local area. He will also work towards increasing the number of electric car charging points, as well as addressing the provision of affordable homes.

In his spare time, Philip enjoys running, badminton and chess. He is a qualified coach in both badminton and chess.
