Statement to voters

Re-elect Juma Begum, Redditch Labour Candidate for Greenlands and Lakeside ward.

Full statement

Since I was first elected in 2022, I have worked hard in various portfolio positions and I was also proud to represent Redditch as Mayor from 2024 to 2025.

My focus has always been clear: keeping our promises and building on success. I have listened to residents and taken action on the issues that matter most—tackling anti-social behaviour, improving street cleanliness, and ensuring your voices are not just heard, but acted upon.

I am committed to investing in our future, especially for young people, by improving play facilities at Greenlands and Lakeside and upgrading existing play areas like Lodge Pool.

Working alongside our local MP Chris Bloore, I have supported the £20 million Pride in Place investment to strengthen our ward. If re-elected, I will continue to work hard on delivering the quality services that our community deserves.

It's important to keep the Council running with a safe pair of hands as we approach the re-organisation of local government - don't risk losing what has been achieved, and what's to come, by voting for other Parties.

#voteredditchlabour on May 7th or earlier by post.
