Maha has been living in Battersea for the past 7 years, and she currently lives in the heart of Nine Elms, at the new St William’s Development.

Professionally she is a registered Clinical Scientist in genomic medicine and has been practicing with more than 15 years of experience working in many hospitals with the NHS including Kings College Hospital, St Georges Hospital, University College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital to name but a few. Previously Maha worked as a Research Assistant with the Public Policy Group at the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as taking other research posts in many other prestigious academic institutions including Cambridge University and Kings College London. Maha has years of experience successfully representing employees as a Unite Rep and reshaping employers’ policies to improve working conditions.

Maha is a young professional and this is her first time running for a public office, she is very passionate and keen to help empower local communities including those in high rise buildings in Nine Elms; making sure that their vioces are heard. Protecting public spaces and access to local services is a paramount priority for her becuase protecting the most vulnerable in our society starts at the heart of local communities.
