She’s worked for a national retailer for over 10 years as an Early Careers & Apprenticeship Advisor, working with schools, colleges and universities to promote opportunities in the fashion industry. As Community Liaison for West Lancs CLP, she’s organised demos to support the NHS and challenge the new Health & Care Bill and arranged celebrations for International Women’s Day by fundraising for a local women’s refuge. Whilst volunteering as a Recruitment Co-ordinator for the Trussell Trust Foodbank, Melissa became a founding member of the local Fans Supporting Foodbanks team, arranging food collections at football matches and collecting petition signatures for the national Right to Food campaign.
