Statement to voters
The Erewash Labour Team are very pleased to announce JOSY HARE as our candidate for ILKESTON CENTRAL in this year’s county council elections.

Josy spent her career working for the county council, and continues to help out at all manner of community networks across Ilkeston. Already a borough councillor in Ilkeston since 2023, and now serving as Lead Member for Health & Wellbeing on Erewash Borough Council - in which role she recently secured £100,000 extra to improve children’s play parks!
From her work background, Josy is very concerned about the Derbyshire Tories’ plans to shutter and sell off care homes and day centres - she’ll fight to protect and enhance local NHS services and adult social care provision. She’s also alarmed by rising antisocial behaviour, and especially knife crime, in our community.
Josy and the Erewash Labour Team have already been out in Ilkeston Central talking to people about the issues that matter to them. With elections now confirmed for Thursday May 1st 2025, she’s ready for the fight 🌹🌹
