Rachel started her career in the central Civil Service, working under politicians from all three of the old parties.

She was very disappointed to find out how few decisions are really driven by evidence and how short term our political decision making can be. In 2017, she left to join the NHS as an accountant, working in both acute and mental health Trusts and trying to make processes more efficient, when she can. Rachel moved back to Bassetlaw 10 years ago to raise her sons here. She is standing for the Green Party in Bassetlaw because it's the only party which has a really clear, evidence-based vision for a fairer future - and one which extends well beyond the next four years.
