Statement to voters

I am a university academic working in clean‑tech and AI, and a proud mum of three.

Full statement

I am passionate about creating low‑cost, autonomous, energy‑generating homes powered by renewables, and driving green skills programmes in education that prepare our children and young people for high‑quality, future‑proof jobs. Community safety is paramount to me, and I will be a powerful, unwavering voice for women, children and family-safety across our ward.

Here is what I will fight for in Weoley & Selly Oak:

  • Lowering the cost of energy by championing renewables and green energy solutions across our ward, helping families cut their bills while creating local jobs in the clean energy sector.

  • Stronger community safety by ensuring a named, contactable police officer is assigned to every part of Weoley & Selly Oak, with faster response times and visible neighbourhood policing. Our ward will have a named, contactable police officer in every community, with a guaranteed 72‑hour response, tripling Community Safety Officers and introducing new Respect Orders to ban persistent offenders.

  • Green upskilling for our next generation through real education changes that prepare young people in our schools and youth centres for the jobs of the future.

  • Cleaner streets and faster action on fly‑tipping by deploying simple digital reporting tools so residents can instantly report problems, combined with tougher enforcement, more regular street cleaning, increased CCTV use and new powers to seize offenders’ vehicles.

  • Investment in every corner of Weoley & Selly Oak by repairing potholes and pavements, backing local projects through Thriving Neighbourhoods, and restoring pride in our green spaces and parks.

I stand with Stewart Holroyd in Weoley & Selly Oak. Together, we will build a cleaner, greener, safer and more inclusive Weoley & Selly Oak.
