Rachel White is the Green Party candidate for Hawkwell East, Rochford.

Rachel has lived in the Rochford area for over 40 years. Rachel’s background has been varied, with over 12 years experience in Education (Student Wellbeing/Safeguarding) and for NHS Mental Health Services.

With qualifications in psychology & therapeutic practice, Rachel has previously worked as a volunteer counsellor and more recently volunteered as a young person’s mentor for the local YMCA for a project that supports young people at risk of mental health issues.

Rachel is an environmental activist and is passionate about holding governments to account for their role in climate change and is a vocal advocate for social justice. In her spare time, Rachel is a keen hiker and loves the outdoors and being connected to nature.

Rachel says “ I am particularly concerned about the increase in air pollution and its effects on local health and the environment. I want to engage with and listen to local residents to understand how we can maintain and improve Rochford’s transport systems and preserve local green spaces.”
