Statement to voters

I'm a retired engineering manager, with a keen interest in energy issues.

Full statement

In my youth I flew with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, before having a worldwide career in the oil & gas business (when that seemed like a good idea!).

My wife and I live in Tunbridge Wells, where I have often challenged poor planning in the Borough. I spoke at the Inspection of the Local Plan, bringing to light that 50% of new houses would be in the Green Belt, and objecting to many houses being built in Paddock Wood's flood plains - factors that contributed to the Plan being sent back for rework.

I think Britain is a wonderful country - but only if you ignore the politics and the inequalities.

 If elected I would:

 - reduce inequalities, and turn our economy into a thriving green one

- improve housing, and make it more affordable

- tax the super-rich to raise £50bln for the NHS, warmer homes, and cleaner rivers

- re-establish links with our European neighbours, and make it easier for young people to study, work and live abroad

- fight climate change

At this General Election, only the Green Party offers Real Hope, and Real Change
