Statement to voters
I'm honoured to be running to represent the Heathfield & Mayfield Division on East Sussex County Council.

As a District Councillor I have a proven track record of listening to concerns of local residents and delivering for them.
My other role as a funeral celebrant requires excellent communication and organisational skills, deep empathy and an ability to bring people together, all important skills for a good councillor.
Unlike other political parties, Greens are not told what to do and how to vote by their national offices. I will be free to be a strong and effective voice for local concerns.My priorities include:
- Improving SEND provision for children and supporting parents and teachers
- Public ownership and control of Highways to improve road conditions
- Better road safety and lower speed limits in villages and near schools
- Promote active travel with more cycleways on rural and urban roads
- Take action on fly tipping, litter and anti-social behaviour
- Protect our countryside and the health of our rivers by holding water companies and big polluters to account
