Martin Price is the Green Party ward candidate for Ashbrow on Kirkees Council.

He lives in Kirklees and is an active member of Mirfield in Bloom, a 'Recycling Champion Hero' and a trustee of a Church of England owned ancient woodland in Birstall. Martin has worked in UK and international business management for many years, attaining director positions in two companies. His specialism is pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, with a focus on product compliance and IT systems. He and his family have lived in the Kirklees for over 20 years. Early in his career Martin spent 6 years working in Zimbabwe, Africa. Being a practical person he was challenged on many levels but successfully completed significant projects included sanitation, clean water and school rebuilding. Martin says: "I would prioritise measures that encourage and safeguard biodiversity in our wonderful green spaces and aim to improve access. Protection of the natural environment is an essential part of tackling the warming of our planet. "If elected as your councillor I would work tirelessly to improve Ashbrow for the benefit of all members of our wonderful diverse community. We need to create a fairer, greener country that is fit for future generations. It's time to put Ashbrow in a safe pair of hands - I would be accountable to the people who elected me."
