Born in RBH and raised in Woodley, I moved to the Finchampstead area in 2010 and while my children attended Gorse Ride School I was Chair of the PTA, raising £20k each year I was in office.

In 2020 I received a Civic Award for my community work running a youth club at the FBC Centre with my husband, Martin and volunteering for Finchampstead based domestic abuse charity, Kaleidoscopic UK.

Having been a Link visitor with Link Visiting Scheme for a decade, I set up the Friendship Table that meets weekly for isolated, older people and ran the FBC community team as a volunteer for 7 years for which I was awarded the Platinum Jubilee Award by Finchampstead Parish Council. During this period I set up the local Share Wokingham site that runs at the FBC every Tuesday; ran a Welcome course for HongKongers new to the community and organised sports sessions for refugees. Standing to represent Finchampstead seems a natural next step in serving the community.
