Sara grew up in Eccles and still lives locally with her family.

She is a mum and has worked in social housing for over 20 years, supporting people with housing, health and financial challenges.

She has always been actively involved in the community — as a Brownie Leader (Little Owl), a member of the Monton Green Primary School PTA, and as a School Governor for four years. These experiences have shaped her strong commitment to supporting children, families and local communities.

Sara is standing as a Green Party candidate because she cares about the area and wants to see Eccles thrive. With regeneration underway, she believes it is important that it benefits the people who already live here — with genuinely affordable homes, support for local businesses, and real opportunities for young people.

Through her work and her own experience, Sara understands how rising costs and financial pressures are affecting households, and how important it is that people have access to affordable housing and the support they need.

She also believes in creating healthier, greener neighbourhoods, with well-maintained, safe and welcoming parks and public spaces — including the Greenway and new green spaces created through regeneration — so that everyone can enjoy where they live. This includes taking concerns about anti-social behaviour seriously and working with local partners to help keep communities safe.

The Green Party focuses its limited resources on a small number of areas, so residents may not see Sara knocking on every door in Eccles this time. However, she is always happy to hear from local people and welcomes anyone getting in touch to share their views or concerns.

Sara believes local politics should focus on listening to residents, thinking long-term, and working together to build a fairer, healthier and more sustainable community.
