Local elections for Broxbourne Council are being held on Thursday, 2nd of May, and I am proud to have been selected as the Labour candidate for our ward, Rosedale & Bury Green.

As a local resident, I care deeply about this community and want to do my best to improve local services and bring positive change to our area.

I have seen Rosedale & Bury Green decline under this Conservative-led council, with services cut across the board and local people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis. This council needs to hear what really matters to the residents of Rosedale & Bury Green. I will hold regular surgeries to hear about your concerns and issues, and work hard to make sure the council addresses them.

My priorities for Rosedale & Bury Green will be:

1. To campaign for more genuinely affordable housing for local residents, either to buy or to rent, so everyone can enjoy our beautiful area.

2. To improve local transport services, making our area more accessible by bus to give residents greater freedom to travel in, out, and around Cheshunt.

3. To liaise with the Police to reduce the incidence of crime and anti-social behaviour to ensure that residents feel safe at home and on our streets.

There is a clear choice at this election, between a local voice standing up for our community, or allowing the Conservatives, with their huge majority on the council, to go unchecked for longer. We need a strong opposition on the Council to stand up to the Conservatives and hold them accountable.

The last election was very close. Only a vote for Labour can stop the Tories.
