Mortgages and rents have skyrocketed. 82% of burglaries are unsolved. Local school budgets have been slashed, some by over £1,000 per pupil since 2010.

Unlike the Conservative and Lib Dems candidates, I have lived with my family in our new constituency since before I was selected as a parliamentary candidate.

I am proud to call Farnham and Bordon my home. My wife and I love raising our three kids here and our eldest attends our local state primary school.

But after 14 years of the Conservatives and Lib Dems failing on many of the big decisions, I cannot sit on the sidelines.

The country and our local area needs a fresh start.

I offer a new approach. I am a barrister not a career politician -- this is the first time I have run for public office.

I have the energy, ideas, and experience to get things done.

Raised by a single mum in Edinburgh, I know first hand the freedom and opportunity which opens up when the government takes an active role in supporting families and young people.

I have spent my legal career standing up for working people and fighting to protect the rule of law.

As an education campaigner I have worked with government and business to give young people the skills they need to be confident communicators and respectful citizens.

I am asking for your vote at the General Election because I want to serve our community and bring integrity, honesty, and courtesy back into politics.

And, I can win here! The Sunday Times/Survation 'Spring Mega Poll' shows Labour are just 4% behind the Tories, and 5% ahead of the Lib Dems in Farnham and Bordon.
