Born in Liverpool Maureen has lived in the Maidstone for 38 years, arriving when her family were posted to 36 Engr Regt Invicta Park in 1986.

A proud trade unionist Maureen is a member of UNISON was a lead negotiator at Kent County Council, she has worked in local government, NHS and private and voluntary sector in mental health services. With a family background in the armed forces Maureen is a service champion. As part of her community engagement she is a member of the organising committee for the Maidstone Mela, an Independent Custody Visitor and supports community larders in Maidstone.
Maureen is Leader of the Labour Group on Maidstone Borough Council and is committed to improving services for local residents and bringing the change that Maidstone & Malling so desperately needs.
