Statement to voters

I am standing to be Stoke-on-Trent South's next Labour MP to bring hope and prosperity back to this fantastic constituency.

Full statement

I am local and love where I live. Having been a councillor and leading campaigner to save our hospitals and greenspaces I have demonstrated that I will take action and fight for the best interests of our area.

As the proud daughter of a Navy man I grew up knowing what service means. We moved about a lot but I found my home here in North Staffordshire and Stoke. I worked as a Science teacher for over 25 years and ran apprenticeships at Keele University. I now advise how to use artificial intelligence to make the NHS fit for the future.

As your MP I will work toward getting the NHS back on its feet with more doctors and nurses, tackle crime and anti-social behaviour with more neighbourhood police and improve schools by recruiting more teachers. I will support our local businesses and work to expand apprenticeships.

With a powerful vision for the future I will be an effective MP who will listen to you and speak up proudly for Stoke-on-Trent South and our villages. Together we will build a healthy, skilled and prosperous future.

Please do get in touch and let me know what is important to you.
