Moving to a unitary authority is going to be hugely challenging and needs experience and a safe pair of hands which Marisa can provide. She has a strong track record of delivery having won millions of pounds for Surrey and getting issues prioritised in her current Englefield Green seat. She has been on the Cabinet leading the Environment portfolio for many years and Surrey has been recognised for its leadership on protecting nature, the countryside and tackling flooding and protecting the Green Belt. Marisa believes her strongest quality is her ability to get on with people and work across party lines and with officers to deliver real outcomes. She aims to always help her residents solve their problems and is committed to public service. Her background in running her own business means she comes at issues with a common sense approach and believes in efficiency and avoiding a high tax system.
