Statement to voters
Fletton and Woodston’s close-knit communities deserve a hard-working councillor that understands the local issues people are dealing with.
Full statement
Having spent time volunteering on warm spaces initiatives, I’ve seen firsthand how people are struggling with the cost of living, and I want to be a councillor to provide a voice in the room for people in need when decisions are made about our local services.
I have first-hand experience of the issues people across Fletton and Woodston face – I first moved to Cambridgeshire after my family suffered a no-fault eviction from our home of ten years, and my experience of an invisible disability (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) has made me a passionate advocate for supporting disabled people to thrive.
As a caseworker for Fletton and Woodston’s local MP, I’m already supporting residents every day with a variety of issues.
I have a background in animal science, and volunteer locally with the Wildlife Trust on nature conservation and environmental protection.
If elected, my key priorities for Fletton and Woodston would include focusing on improving green spaces for all, pushing for CCTV coverage of fly-tipping hotspots and lobbying the Conservative police and crime commissioner for more visible policing in the area. It would be a privilege to represent the ward – let’s restore pride in Fletton and Woodston.
I’m more than happy to chat to anyone that would like to have a conversation about what I’m standing for – please just reach out.
