I’m Taila, and I’m standing in the upcoming County Council election for the Attleborough Division.

I was born and raised in Attleborough, and I’ve been proud to serve our community for over 10 years — currently as Deputy Mayor and as a Breckland District Councillor for the Attleborough Burgh & Haverscroft Ward. Public service runs in my family, and I’m proud to be the third generation to serve our town.

My biggest inspiration is my daughter, Paisley. As a mum to an autistic child, I understand how challenging it can be for families to access the right support, which is why improving SEND services and building a kinder, more inclusive community means so much to me.

I’m a councillor who believes in doing the right thing — not the easy thing. I’ve always stepped up when our town needed it, whether it was organising community support during the pandemic or helping residents directly during the 2023 floods. I care deeply about this place and the people in it, and I’ll always roll up my sleeves when needed.

My priorities:

• Making sure Attleborough gets the infrastructure it needs as we grow

• Improving SEND support for children, young people and adults

• Working to reduce flood risk in Attleborough and Besthorpe

• Ensuring public money is used wisely and effectively

If I’m elected, you’ll have a strong, consistent voice representing you across all three levels of local government — someone who will always listen and always fight for what’s best for our community, championing the needs of Attleborough and Besthorpe every step of the way.
