Statement to voters
Dear Residents, I love living in Alton.
Full statement
It is such a family-friendly town with people who look out for each other. I am standing for election because I believe we can make Alton even better.
My style is simple: listen first, act quickly and always be honest about timings. I know how important it is to work in partnership. I will build links across the community, with residents groups, voluntary associations, the Town Council, and with County Councillors too.
In my life I have lived in Zimbabwe, Australia and the UK. The UK is where I have decided to live and work and raise my family because I really love the people, the landscapes and the culture here.
If elected, I will be at full council and the committees where decisions are made and then report back in plain English. Back me and, when elected, you will be able to reach me quickly on social media, my official council email or by post or phone. If you raise an issue outside of District control such as GP access or major roads I will send it to the right authority, follow up for a response and report back while concentrating on what we can directly improve.
I am committed to practical solutions and genuine results, someone dedicated to serving our community with integrity and action. Together, let's shape a thriving future for Alton Amery.
Yours sincerely,
Brighton Gono
