Statement to voters

Martin has lived in Mile End since 2002.

Full statement

He currently works in the tech industry and can often be seen cycling between his home in Mile End and data centres in the borough. Previously, he worked at Queen Mary University of London, looking after the welfare and immigration status of international students. He’s an active member of the local community and has been a beekeeper in Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park for many years. Recently, as a result of Eastend Homes’ disastrous project to add floors to buildings on the Mile End Estate, Martin has become a housing campaigner. He chairs the Coniston House Tenants and Residents Association and has appeared on TV and at the Mayor of London and London Assembly’s People’s Question Time, advocating on behalf of him and his neighbours.

This statement was added by Martin Donkin, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
