I was born at the old Selly Oak Hospital, attended Bournville Junior and Secondary School, and later graduated from Newman University. It doesn’t get much more local than that.

I currently work as a Level 4 support staff member at a special needs school here in Birmingham, a role I’ve proudly held for the past three years. Before that, I worked as an educational mentor, supporting some of the most vulnerable and challenged young people in our city. That experience has shaped who I am and strengthened my commitment to making a real difference.

So why am I standing for election?

Because I love this city, and I am tired of seeing it in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Birmingham is full of potential, but it has been neglected for far too long. Our roads are crumbling, our bins are going uncollected, and too many people feel let down. Enough is enough.

We need change, we need to fix Birmingham, and I am ready to be part of that change.

I have only ever wanted to stand in Weoley and Selly Oak. This is my home, it is where my family lives, where my friends are, and where I care deeply about the future. To represent our community in the council chamber, and to continue making a positive difference locally, would be a real privilege.
