About Kathryn Judd
Waltham Forest has been my home for 11 years, and for the past 15 I’ve worked as Director of Music in an East London secondary school, driven by a belief that every young person deserves the chance to thrive.

I’m proud to lead a supportive, collaborative team where people feel energised and valued.

I also love bringing people together — from street parties and residents’ meetings to a tree preservation action attended by more than 100 neighbours. Most recently, I’ve been working on an air pollution and community health project with Centric Lab, helping residents use data to build confidence, power and a stronger collective voice.

What Kathryn Stands For
I care deeply about Waltham Forest — the people, the places, and the communities that make it home — and want stronger local support and genuine engagement with residents. Our borough is vibrant and diverse, yet too many decisions fail to prioritise community wellbeing.

I would work to improve air quality and protect green spaces — from Epping Forest and Chingford Plains to our parks and the trees lining our streets. I want everyone to be able to live and thrive here, with genuinely affordable, energy‑efficient housing shaped with residents. I’m committed to social justice, inclusive services and strengthening local democracy so people feel valued and part of the change.
