About Andrew McMullen
I have lived in Highams Park for 15 years, before that I grew up in Wanstead so have a strong affinity to Epping Forest.

I have worked in corporate sustainability and energy management for the last 20 years and would like to bring some of that experience into the local area.

I have a good understanding of resource management and have managed a number of large projects related to resource efficiency.

I have been a Governor at my children’s school Woodbridge High and I also have supported a number of peope’s assemblies in the London area, looking to improve local community cohesion.

What Andrew stands for
Although there are many short term issues we need to address, I am keen to make positive change for our children’s future as well as improving the lives of those in the ward today.

A large part of my job has been to understand how resource shortages will impact the UK and I am keen to ensure our area is as well prepared as possible. One of the best ways to prepare for an uncertain future is to build community cohesion so my biggest commitment as a councilor would be to run regular people’s or citizens’ assemblies. This will help improve our currently fragmented community and will help me deeply understand what people really care about in this ward.

That information will then be what I work toward as a councillor, as I believe that is the best way to be a true voice of the community.
