About Samir Richards

I moved to Walthamstow from Luton in 2022 and have loved every second living here. I am an Assistant Principal at a high performing school locally.
I have immersed myself into the borough and you may have seen me at Walthamstow FC (or Arsenal), cycling along the canal or spending an afternoon at any of the many breweries, though the Flower Pot remains the favourite. I have two (black and white and very unusual looking for a labradoodle) labradoodles that I walk regularly at Hollow Pond and Lloyd Park on the weekend.
What Samir stands for
Social justice – I’ve worked in schools for nearly 10 years now and I’ve seen the difference we can make on a daily basis. I hope that working in this capacity means I can do more to support even more people.Local councils affect people’s lives on a day-to-day basis and I think we can do better. I want a greener, more affordable Walthamstow that benefits everyone.
