I am originally from Yorkshire and moved to Newcastle at 18 to study at the university.

I have lived here for more than 25 years. Before entering local politics, I worked in the NHS as a Consultant for 15 years, taking early retirement a few years ago. I became involved with the Green Party after meeting local members and seeing their hands‑on, community‑focused approach, which challenged some of my earlier assumptions about politics...including the Greens!
I am also neurodivergent and have ADHD, which shapes how I approach problem‑solving. I tend to look at issues from different angles and have a strong sense of fairness and inclusion. I believe in recognising people’s strengths and supporting individuals to contribute in ways that work for them. I am interested in working collaboratively with residents, supporting local services, and helping address practical issues across the ward.
