I have lived in Rayleigh for all of my life, and I want to contribute to improving our community.

This election is of major importance for our local area. I am focused on delivering on local issues, not national issues which have nothing to do with my role as a potential Councillor. I am standing to protect Wheatley’s green belt and achieve an effective local plan. I live right in between two of the potential green belt sites that could built on in Wheatley, and so this would have a big impact on me and residents alike.

Due to the way the composition of the Council currently is, along with only 1/3rd of seats up for election - as is the norm, this means that it is only the Conservatives that can effectively deliver on the things that matter to you. This is especially so with how relations between local parties currently are.

To deliver a local plan to protect our green belt, we need a stable, united administration. This is the final District Council election before local government reorganisation takes place in 2 years time. This is why we need an effective local plan - which is currently in the works - and it needs to be finalised very soon. For the reasons provided, I hope you could lend me your vote on the 7th May, even if you may not normally vote Conservative. Thank you.
