From Catwalk to Council 👠

For over twelve years I have used my platform as a beauty queen as a means of giving back by working with the press and a range of media outlets to shine a light on subjects that are too often left unspoken.

This has allowed me to help open important conversations around hidden disabilities, including mental health, sexual assault, the motherhood penalty, the rising cost of childcare, overcoming bereavement, the importance of men’s mental health, workplace discrimination and many other issues that I believe deserved greater public attention.

The confidence, discipline and eloquence I have developed through pageantry have shaped my approach to advocacy and inspired me to become a trailblazer for change.

Since becoming a charity Ambassador last year I have felt even more motivated to deepen my work within my community.

With opportunities like attending events at the House of Lords and the Houses of Parliament including last year’s Disabled Women in Politics event as a Sandwell resident have truly opened my eyes to what can be acheived if I keep using my voice.

Despite navigating difficult circumstances as a solo parent and residing in a neglected area this opportunity isn’t only meaningful it is a movement!

Although I was born and raised in Bearwood the Tipton Green Ward has been my postcode for a while and needs serious support to get it back on track by removing politions who are too comfortable taking no action against challenges and experiences of this community.

With 3 weeks to go I’m elated to share I’m running as a candidate to become a councillor in the Tipton Green Ward and have been welcomed with open arms by all @sandwellgreenparty who are an ever growing community of likeminded people that are passionate about changing the lives of others in their wards.
