I’m passionate about history, I even collect historical hats to wear in class, which helps engage my students and bring the subject to life. In addition to teaching history, I also teach construction after school, and it will soon become a full subject. My students especially love bricklaying; they say it’s like playing with giant lego! What’s even better is that these skills can lead to real careers. I make it my mission to help them secure apprenticeships before they leave school, and I’m proud to say that all of my construction students have left with a plan for their future.

I’ve been fortunate enough to live and work in many places, from Milton Keynes to Huddersfield, but I chose to settle here because Grimsby is truly special. The sense of community here is unmatched, people are friendly, and it’s not unusual to see strangers helping each other on the street. When I first moved here, I didn’t know anyone, but I never felt alone thanks to the warmth and kindness of the people. A community this unique deserves to be protected and cherished.

I’m a strong advocate for education and youth clubs. I believe the best way to address
poverty and anti-social behaviour is to tackle the root causes. With your support, we can create a better future for Grimsby, ensuring that your council tax will be spent wisely on things that truly benefit the community.
