Full statement
He works in the transport sector and has been a trade union representative and activist for a long time.
He is a keen cyclist and environmentalist who loves the amount of green spaces Crawley and the surrounding area have to offer as well the wonderful and diverse local community.
Since moving to Crawley Ben has always wanted to see more voices on the left in prominent positions, pushing issues like the cost of living and proper maintenance of our public spaces.
“Crawley is a wonderful place to live but there are improvements that need to be made. I want to see local residents have the, affordable, frequent and reliable public transport they deserve. With well lit bus shelters at every stop. I’m fed up dodging the same potholes every day on my bike. I want to see better accountability from the people who run our councils.“
