I am Ludovico Rella, I am an Assistant Professor at Durham University researching the impact of Artificial Intelligence on society.
Full statement
I moved to the North East from Italy ten years ago anc I fell in love with Newcastle, its history, its culture and its values.
I believe in public, affordable and accessible higher education and in a sustainable and constructive relationship between universities and the local community. I want to contribute to bringing students and local residents together in Jesmond to build a stronger and more inclusive community, and to ensure affordability and quality of rental properties.
I stand as a Green candidate not only to make sure that divisive and hateful politics stay out of power in Newcastle, but also to contribute making our city a positive example for progressive, equitable and sustainable policies that can inspire the rest of the UK.
