Statement to voters
Over the past twenty years, I've seen the negative effects of funding cuts to our city.

Public services continue to deteriorate; inequality and homelessness continue to worsen. I'm standing to challenge that approach. As a councillor, I'll focus on practical improvements informed by what local residents know is needed, from better local services and pothole repairs to waste management and the revitalisation of parks and community spaces, especially for young people. But I'll also push to change the bigger picture. We must demand investment. We have the people, the skills, and real needs that, when ignored, damage the wellbeing of our residents. We should be securing the resources to address them. By working together, we can get things done locally while challenging the austerity narrative that has left communities like ours behind.
