They help to platform voices, protect local spaces and prioritise the issues most important to local residents to get council money spent in the right places, be it potholes, school places or cycleways.
In everything I’ve done, community and collective action have been the driving force which has made change happen, made a difference to people’s lives and embodied the mantra of the Greens, hope not hate. The Green Party is about uniting communities, bringing people together and not pushing them apart – and where better to start then at the local level.
