My name is Wayne Thompson, I am a civil engineer originally from Liverpool.
Full statement
I have been a resident of the North East since the year 2000. Since then I have fallen in love with the area and have a strong desire to improve the lives of its people.
I believe that, for far too long, we have been asked to pay increasingly large amounts for very little in return. I believe in cleaner, more affordable energy, an end to homelessness through increased social housing, publicly owned public transport and a council that works on behalf of the people it represents and not in the interests of big business. If elected I will strive for better for the people of Walkergate.
