I am not a Coventry native (I’m originally from Scotland) but arriving in the city in the late eighties to work at Massey Ferguson, I found a very welcoming city with many positive qualities.

Wainbody Ward embodies many of those qualities, with its many attractive green spaces, thriving businesses, schools, sports clubs and much more besides.

Coventry has proved to be a great place to live but it is not without its problems, some of which I have learnt about when door knocking.

Our current councillors are doing a good job addressing many of these issues but there is always more to do, and should I be successfully elected, I would be happy to use my personal experiences and qualities to work towards delivering improvements in Coventry.

My background is in Science, Engineering and IT, and I believe my personal skillset would very much complement the skillsets of councillors I have met while campaigning for Labour.

I have a personal interest in sports (and my own Rugby Club is within Wainbody's ward boundaries), recreation and outdoor spaces, but I pledge to engage fully with the Wainbody community and work with local groups and residents via social media, regular door knocking, stalls and meetings. Thereby ensuring that no one is left behind.
