It has been my privilege and pleasure to have been one of your District councillors in the past and I hope to represent you again with your support.

Having lived in this area all my life, I totally understand the frustrations, goals and aspirations that we all share. My children went to school here, my husband and I had our businesses here; I have been totally involved with so many aspects of our local life.

As a councillor I have sat on committees from Social Issues to Scrutiny and have always attended Full Council meetings where I have employed a strong voice for all in the Central Meon Valley. There is more to Winchester than a city!

I passionately believe that the Council should spend the money that it raises for the District-wide benefit, not just in the city of Winchester. Contracts should be robustly questioned on what they are for and whether something is ‘value for money’. You will have heard me reminding others when they forget!

Closer to home I am a member of Shedfield parish council, visit other parish councils, special interest groups and as many local events as time and life allow.

I ask for your support on May 2nd to bring a strong local village voice to the District Council.
