Andrew Simpson moved to Northamptonshire in 1983 to study at Nene College now the University of Northampton.

After graduating he worked locally and got involved in local politics serving as a Northampton Borough Councillor from 1995 to 2011. As both a councillor and local campaigner he has a record of getting things done for people from including improvements to a local park through to stopping a post office closing. He has also stood to be elected to Parliament on a number of occasions. Andrew lives with his partner in Kilsby in the heart of the Braunston & Crick area and in his spare times loves walks in the local countryside, gardening and trying to learn Spanish.
