During his time there, he played a key role in a cross-party coalition that ended long-standing one-party control and helped restore balance and accountability to local government, while also championing financial responsibility and sustainable investment. Outside politics, Tom supports local community life as a Brentford season ticket holder and grassroots sports supporter, and as Chair of Spelthorne and Middlesex Heritage he successfully campaigned to protect the area’s identity, helping secure Middlesex heritage signs in Brentford.
