Statement to voters
Born and raised on his family’s farm in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Samuel was educated locally and is a fluent Welsh speaker.

After graduating with a degree in Politics, he returned home to Pembrokeshire, working as a reporter for the Pembrokeshire Herald and the Western Telegraph before joining the office of his local Member of Parliament.
In 2017, Samuel was elected to Pembrokeshire County Council, where he built a strong reputation for championing his community, providing practical support to residents, and representing their interests in the Council Chamber. His political priorities include creating skilled job opportunities for local people, securing housing for local families, and strengthening the rural economy of West Wales. He is committed to supporting Welsh farmers and to ensuring both tourism and agriculture contribute positively to the region’s prosperity.
Beyond politics, Samuel has played an active role in rural community life. A former chairman of the Pembrokeshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, he has achieved success in competitions at both Welsh and national level, including public speaking, on-stage performance and rural affairs.
In recognition of his contribution to agriculture and rural affairs, Samuel was awarded an Associateship of the Council for Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies (ARAgS) at the 2025 Royal Welsh Show.
Samuel is also a keen sportsman, in the summer months, he can be seen playing cricket across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, while during the winter, he plays football and rugby locally.
