My Plan for Clwyd

  1. Transport for all in the Vale of Clwyd

The Welsh Labour Government has suspended all future road building. The three projects set to benefit North Wales have now been abandoned by the Welsh Government despite their pre-election pledge to invest in key road networks across North Wales.

  1. Improving access to local health services and treatment

There are major issues with Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board. Our hospitals were left in special measures for over 5 years, with wait times getting longer even before Covid-19 struck, and services are now in targeted intervention.

  1. Protecting businesses and creating new jobs

Employment figures in North Wales are lower than those in South Wales, and in England.

  1. Investing in North Wales

For years North Wales has been left behind by the Welsh Labour Government when they distribute funding from Cardiff. Denbighshire Council is responsible for providing many of the services we rely on every day and thanks to the lack of funding from Cardiff there is an impact on our communities.

  1. Delivering safe and world class schools

The children of the Vale of Clwyd and Wales deserve better than the education the Welsh Labour Government is providing. Independent inspectors, Estyn, have found that pupils in Wales need more support for their well being and mental health, alongside the additional support needed to address falling
