Rob Mocatta has lived in rural East Meon for 27 years.

I am married with three grown up children. I have been the County Councillor for Petersfield Butser since 2017 and the District Councillor for East Meon and Buriton since 2015. I have represented EHDC on the South Downs National Park for 11 years. I am very interested in Education, the environment, children’s sport and local history. I’m a keen cyclist and walker. I have tried over the past decade to encourage the different branches of local government to work as closely together as possible, and chaired the Petersfield Strategy Group which tried to set agreed priorities for the town.
I campaigned to successfully retain the Petersfield household waste recycling centre. I worked closely with Clanfield Junior school to improve their play grounds and natural environment. I was heavily involved in the redevelopment of the Bulmer house care home in Petersfield which should re-open next year. I helped develop Hampshire Highways plans for safer road crossing of Pulens lane and the Causeway, both of which should be built this year.
My priorities are to continue to put the interests of residents first, particularly about roads, flooding and the environment.
I plan to continue to help local schools and voluntary organisations help raise funding for their projects.
